Multiple vehicle collision N2 south bound, King Shaka airport.
Earlier this morning IPSS Medical Rescue responded to reports of a serious collision on the N2 south bound just past the King Shaka airport offramp on to the N2.
Reports from the scene indicate that three light motor vehicles and one heavy motor vehicle were involved in a collision that has left five people sustaining injuries from moderate to critical.
The critically injured patient was airlifted by IPSS Medical Rescue air ambulance helicopter operated by Black Eagle aviation to hospital, the said pt was struck by a vehicle following behind the truck when he fell off the truck during the collision.
Four additional patients have been transported by IPSS Medical Rescue and another private ambulance services to hospital for further assessment and care.
