IPSS Medical Rescue and Black Eagle Aviation, were activated this morning to undertake an urgent medevac from the South Africa/Mozambique border.

A commercial diver was involved in a diving incident and required urgent definitive care. The patient was transported by road to the Manguzi hospital for stabilization before being airlifted by Black Eagle/IPSS aeromedical helicopter.

The patient was flown to a district hospital for further stabilization, prior to being flown to a hyperbaric facility at Netcare St Augustine Hospital.
