N2 Shakas Rock – Motor vehicle accident, 2 critical.

IPSS medical Reacue is currently on scene on the N2 North Bound underneath the Shakas Rock Bridge where two vehicles have collided.

It is alleged that a vehicle was stationary in the emergency lane when a second vehicle swerved to avoid a third vehicle, rear-ending the stationary vehicle.

The passenger of the second vehicle was severely entrapped in the vehicle, whilst under the care of the Lenmed Ethekweni Hospital and Heart Centers advanced life support paramedic, Kwadakuza fire department used the jaws of life to free him. The driver was lucky to escape with minor injuries.

The owner of the stationary vehicle also sustained serious injuries and was treated by IPSS Medical Reacue advanced life paramedic. The injured were transported to Mediclinic Victoria Hospital and Lenmed Ethekweni Hospital and Heart Center for further care.
