Child airlifted to hospital, multiple injured – Umhloti
IPSS responded to reports of a serious colision on the M27 Jabu Ngcobo road and Bellamont drive in Umhloti this afternoon.
Reports from the scene indicate that two light motor vehicles were involved in a head on collision leaving four adults and three children between the ages of 4 and 13 with injuries ranging from moderate to critical.
One of the children went into cardiac arrest and CPR was performed, paramedics were able to get a pulse back,due to the nature of the injuries on scene Advanced Life Support intervention was required from various services.
IPSS Medical Rescue’s air ambulances operated by Black Eagle aviation was activated to fly one of the critically injured children to hospital.
