Alexander police are investigating the death of four children died in fire

Johannesburg North Cluster: It is alleged that on 2018-09-16 at about 05:00, the police were called to a house in Alexandra where children were left alone. On their arrival, they found that four children aged between three and seven years old have died in a fire at their home.

Information revealed that the kids were left alone at home by their mothers. A witness who was also sleeping in the same house informed the police that he was awoken up by the fire which had already engulfed most part of the house and he quickly ran out to the neighbours to seek for the help.
One six-year-old child reportedly died at the scene and three other children were taken to Hospital. Later during the day, it was reported that the other three had passed on.

The Police had arrested two suspects aged 29 && 39 for child neglect. Both suspects are the mothers of the deceased. They will appear in court soon.
