'Dros rape': Do not share video, says criminal lawyer Ulrich Roux
A lawyer advised social media users not to distribute the Facebook profile, photos, or shocking video, of the man who allegedly raped a girl at a Dros restaurant
The criminal lawyer Ulrich Roux emphasized that the suspect could not be identified according to the Criminal Procedure Act as being charged with sexual crimes.
According to the law, people who are charged with sexual crimes may only be identified after pleading in a court.
According to Roux, people who share the Facebook profile, photos and video of the alleged offender may be charged with defeating the ends of Justice.
Roux also said that the video could possibly be used in court as evidence and that the spread and possible manipulation thereof could also be a violation of the law
