Eastern Cape: Mount Road SAPS gives back to the community

The SAPS is committed to create a safe and secure environment for all the people of South Africa. Mount Road police station showed the community of North End to what extend they will go to rebuild the trust within the community. On Monday, 24 December 2018, members from the station and community members from the sector crime forum conducted an outreach at the park in Cawood street, North End.

During the outreach, all role players interacted with the children residing in the area and Blue Ribbon Bakery partnered with the SAPS providing entertainment to the children and they were treated to snacks and cold drinks. Members used this opportunity to educate the children on the dangers of substance abuse. They were also encouraged not to get involved in criminal activities and to report crime information to the SAPS. This event was well attended by the community. #SAPSGivingBack #CommunityOutreach
