FORWARD THIS TO ALL WESTERN CAPE RESIDENTS.
The public currently have no recourse to complain about environmental issues. As recently as last week it was left to University of Cape Town Professors to slow down the irresponsible and hasty drilling by the City into the Cape’s aquifers in sensitive areas. It is therefore important that the public has an Environmental Commissioner with whom these matters can be taken up.
There is a Bill before Provincial Parliament aimed at scrapping the job of the Environmental Commissioner. Comment on this draft Bill, by using the form at the link.
