Gauteng: At 15H31 Wednesday afternoon Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the N1 near the R57 in Vanderbijlpark.

Reports from the scene indicate that the driver of a light motor vehicle a 42-year-old female lost control of her vehicle resulting in a rollover.

The patient was assessed on scene by an Advanced life support paramedic and found to have sustained serious chest injuries.

Due to the nature of the patients injuries the Netcare 2 specialised helicopter ambulance was activated to airlift her to a specialist hospital for the treatment she requires.
