Granny & Four Year Old Mauled By Dog: Ottawa – KZN
A 61 year old woman and her 4 year old granddaughter were mauled by a Boerboel in Park Lane – Ottawa yesterday.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to the scene by the public requesting assistance for the elderly woman and the child. Upon arrival medics treated the two for multiple bite wounds.
It is alleged that the granny and child had gone to a tuck shop opposite their hime to purchase bread. While on the property the Boerboel broke its chain and began attacking the child. In an attempt to protect the child the elderly woman grabbed the dog and fell to the ground when she was mauled.
The two were treated on scene before being transported to hospital by ambulance.
