HAWKS SEARCH FOR MEMBERS OF MASSIVE DRUG SYNDICATE: WARRANTS OF ARRESTED ISSUED
The Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation in North West and Gauteng is seeking public assistance in the search of four suspects who were apparently part of a transnational drug syndicate which operated around North West and Gauteng provinces respectively.
The accused; Pedro Odoeman (45), Obi Kingsley Odoeman (42), Kennedy Duru (42), Clifford Okebaram (39), were arrested in 2009 following a Hawks and Crime Intelligence project driven investigation.
They were subsequently granted bail ranging from R50 000 to R150 000 by the Randburg Magistrate’s Court and made a series of court appearances facing charges of racketeering and dealing in drugs, however the group allegedly absconded before the trial between 2011 and May 2018.
The Johannesburg High Court has since issued warrants for their arrest. The Hawks urges anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the suspects to contact the Investigating Officer, Constable Justice Thatelo on 071 481 2777 or Crime Stop 08600 10111.
