A man was left seriously injured yesterday afternoon following a shooting at a restaurant off Witkoppen Road in Fourways, Johannesburg.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find the Provincial and a private service already in attendance.

Upon closer inspection, paramedics found a man lying inside a restaurant. Assessment showed that the man had sustained a gunshot wound to his leg, leaving him in a serious condition.

The man was treated for his injuries and provided with pain-relief medication before he was transported by ER24, under an advanced life support paramedic from a private service, to Life Fourways Hospital for further treatment.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
