Metro Policewoman Shot Multiple Times: Verulam – KZN

An off duty Metro Policewoman was shot multiple times in her vehicle on Iron Street in Verulam – KZN last night.

The victim was driving a VW Golf 7 when an unknown gunman opened fire on her vehicle as she approached a stop street under the railway bridge. The Policwoman was struck multiple times on her body and head. She was rushed to hospital privately.

At least 10 spent cartridges were found at the scene. The suspect allegedly fled in either a Hyundai or Kia Bakkie. The motive of the shooting is yet to be established.

The South African Police are investigating further.

Reaction Unit South Africa did not attend to the scene.
