Another farmer in Overberg area attacked

Another farmer was attacked on a farm near Stormsvlei on Friday night in the Overberg.
The attack on Swen Thompson, a milk farmer of the farm Rietpol, took place at about 20:30.
Thompson and his family were surprised, attacked and robbed by three armed men in their home.
The family was apparently tied up but remained unharmed.
The attackers fled with Thompson’s truck.
Thys Swart, a farmer of Swellendam, announced the incident on Facebook.
Swart later on his Facebook page said the Riviersonderend police found the truck.
The radio station CFM Overberg 89.3 confirmed the incident on social media.
The police could not yet be reached in connection with the incident.
