At approximately 9:40 this evening JHB West Responders were alerted of a serious single vehicle motor accident near Commando Road in Newclare.

Upon arrival several Emergency Services including our friends from Emergency Control SA JHB West were on scene.

JHB West Responders provided scene safety and traffic control whilst the Emergency Services were treating the injured.

It is alleged that the vehicle was travelling at speeds in excess of the speed limit and lost control and sustained a major side impact.

The driver and front passenger were taken out of the vehicle priory to Emergency Services arriving. Once on scene they were treatment by paramedics. The rear seat passenger was trapped in the wreckage and was declared dead on scene.

The driver was resuscitated on scene but sadly succumbed to the injuries sustained in the accident and died in the ambulance.

The front seat passenger was in a critical condition and was transported to a local hospital for further treatment.

Thank you to all who assisted on scene and for the fast response
