Pretoria Lady’s experience of cell theft in shopping centre
Marissa van Straaten posted Tuesday on her facebook page,
What a day and then I would still be robbed in Spar Moreletapark.
Two ladies kept on pushing against me where I dish up food. I asked them to please stand away, but they ignored me and stuck to speaking in their language, to just walk away without buying anything.
It was then that my 6th sense urged me to see if my cell phone was still in my coat pocket. Lo and behold, the two women had stolen my phone. I just left my trolley there and started yelling that these two had grabbed my cell phone.
I caught up with them where they just happened to walk past the security guards, who stopped them and took them to their office. The phone wasn’t with them, however, and they acted ignorant.
I requested the CCTV footage and the footage clearly showed how the two ladies removed my cell phone out of my coat pocket.
On my request the security guards checked the fruit shelf which the two ladies had just passed after I started to make an alarm about the alleged theft. That is where my cell phone was hidden.
The two ladies had dropped the phone right there. I informed the shop security that I still wanted to report this matter to the local police, as it will never stop. Here are the two’s faces
. I know I have regained my phone, but they are going to try it again and this probably is not the first time.
This is just unacceptable!
