Robbery Suspects Stab 72 Year Old: Verulam CBD – KZN
A 72 year old male was stabbed on his hand during a robbery in the Verulam CBD a short while ago (Sunday).
Reaction Unit South Africa received the call for assistance at approx 13:42. Paramedics were despatched to the home in Ottawa after the victim drove to his residence from the scene of crime on Wick Street – Verulam.
According to the elderly male, he had just exited a hardware store & walked across the road to his vehicle that was parked in front of the Verulam Market. He wss accosted by two african male suspects who robbed him of his wallet contacting cash, his identity card & drivers licence. The suspects then stabbed him on his right hand and fled on foot.
One suspect is attired in a green & red shirt with a black jacket. The victim could not provide a description of the second suspect.
