1. Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over western and central Free State, eastern parts of the Northern Cape, eastern and central North West, Central Karoo of the Western Cape, and the interior of the Eastern Cape.

WATCHES:

1. Severe thunderstorms are expected over the eastern parts of Eastern Cape.
2. Strong NW winds of 50 to 60km/h are expected over the interior of the Eastern Cape.

SPECIAL WEATHER ADVISORIES:

1. A heat wave with persistently high temperatures is expected in places the extreme eastern parts of the Northern Cape and western parts of the Free State and North West until Monday, but until Tuesday in places over Gauteng, Limpopo and Mpumalanga.

Fine and hot to very hot.

3. LIMPOPO:

Fine and hot to very hot.

4. NORTH-WEST PROVINCE:

Fine and very hot, but partly cloudy in the west where there will be isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers.

5. FREE STATE:

Fine and hot, but very hot in the west where it will be partly cloudy, spreading to the east in the afternoon. Isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers expected in the west.

6. NORTHERN CAPE:

Morning fog patches along the coast, otherwise fine and cool to warm, but hot to very hot in the east where there will be isolated showers and thundershowers in the afternoon.
The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-westerly.

7. WESTERN CAPE:

Partly cloudy along the west and south-west coast where it will be cool, otherwise fine and warm to hot but very hot over the eastern interior. It will become cloudy from late afternoon along the south coast with light rain along the extreme south-eastern coastal areas.
The wind along the coast will be moderate easterly along the south coast in the morning, otherwise moderate to fresh southerly to south-westerly becoming strong south of Cape Point in the afternoon spreading along the south coast.

8. WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE:

Cloudy in places at first, otherwise fine and hot, but warm along the coast. It will become partly cloudy with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers in the east.
The wind along the coast will be Light to moderate north easterly, but fresh to strong easterly in the east during the afternoon. It will become fresh south-westerly in the west in the afternoon, spreading eastwards.

9. EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE:

Cloudy south of the escarpment with light morning rain along the coast, otherwise partly cloudy and hot, but warm along the coast. Isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers are expected in the west and in the south.
The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong north easterly.

10. KWAZULU-NATAL:

Morning fog over the interior, otherwise fine and hot, but very hot in places in the north. It will become partly cloudy in the afternoon with Isolated showers and thundershowers in the south.
The wind along the coast will be Moderate to fresh east to north-easterly, but strong at times.
