Search For Wanted Suspect: Phoenix – KZN
The public is requested to be on the lookout for Spamandla Mtika.
Mtika is being sought for a spate of thefts and robberies committed in the Phoenix and surrounding
areas. His modus operandi is to pose as a Security Officer and approach businesses after hours. He confronts on duty Security Officers based at the premises stating that his company was tasked to also guard the premises.During conversation with the Security Officers, his accomplices which consist of four other males will confront the victims and hold them up. One person in Mtika’s gang is confirmed to be armed with a firearm. They have mostly targeted scrap yards where they made off with large quantities of copper.
