Second Suicide Attempt For Cash Strapped Man: M25 Ntuzuma – KZN

A man suffered serious injury after he jumped off a bridge on the M25 in the vicinity of the Ntuzuma Magistrates Court in Ntuzuma today (Thursday).

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were on patrol in the area at approximately 15:32 when they noticed a crowd gathering under the bridge. Upon investigation Reaction Officers found a man lying on the ground bleeding from injuries to his head and legs.

His brother was on scene and informed RUSA Officers that his sibling had jumped nearly 25 meters in an attempt to end his life. Reason for his actions are believed to be due to his financial situation. He also stated that in January this year his brother was seriously injured after he intentionally stepped infront of a moving vehicle in an attempt to commit suicide.

The Bhambayi – Inanda resident was stabilized on scene by Paramedics before being transported to hospital.
