Six alleged drug dealers arrested.

POTCHEFSTROOM –Six suspects appeared before the Orkney Magistrates’ Court today, for allegedly dealing in drugs and unlawful possession of ammunition (Fire Arms Control Act: Act 60 of 2000).
This court appearance emanates after members of Provincial Organised Crime and the Klerksdorp Technical Response Team (TRT) acted on information received. A search warrant was obtained and the identified houses in Khuma, near Orkney, were searched on Monday, 29 July 2019.
547 Mandrax tablets to the estimated street value of R30 085-00 as well as ammunition (several 38 special bullets) were found during the search. The police also seized cash, a Nissan Micra and seven cellular phones.
The Acting Provincial Commissioner, Maj Gen Ryno Naidoo applauded the members for their dedication in making sure that criminals and drugs are removed from society. He said: “Police need the community to speak out in order to prevent, combat and investigate crime. By doing so, we will build safer communities.”
