Suicide: Fairbreeze – KZN

The body of a man was discovered hanging from a tree along a railway line in Fairbreeze, Tongaat this morning (Tuesday).

At approximately 06:59 a passerby contacted the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Tongaat Operations Center reporting his findings. Reaction Officers and Medics were dispatched to the scene and on arrival found the man hanging several meters off the ground. His leather belt was tied around his neck and was attached to a rope which was fastened to a branch on the tree. The motive for the suicide has not been established at this stage.

The South African Police Service is investigating further.
