30 YEARS MORE THAN 30 CASES:
Jacobus Nicolaas Boshoff, known as “Kobus”, and pictured below, is one of South Africa’s most prolific fraudsters with fraud cases stretching back more than 30 years, with the approximate value of the multiple frauds far exceeding R1 billion.
IRS is making representations for historical cases that were not finalised to be consolidated with current and new cases.
Boshoff never worked alone. He was aided and abetted by a group of enablers including well known lawyers, advocates, accountants, businessmen and family members.
IRS intends holding all the enablers accountable for aiding Boshoff in orchestrating elaborate frauds for more than three decades and to recoup whatever proceeds of the crimes that they all benefited from.
Boshoff and his enablers fit the definition of a criminal enterprise and will be investigated as such.
