Gauteng: At 07H02 Monday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of a serious collision on the R511 Diepsloot.
Reports from the scene indicate that a school bus carrying approximately forty children was involved in a collision.
Multiple children sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious.
One child was found to be in a critical condition and due to the nature of the injuries Emerg-G-Med EMS activated the Netcare 911 Helicopter Air Ambulance.
Circumstances leading to the collision are at this stage unknown however the SAPS were on scene and will be investigating.
