KwaZulu-Natal: At 11H30 Saturday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of a falls at the Karkloof Waterfall in the KZN Midlands.
Reports from the scene indicate that a 13-year-old male had fallen approximately nine meters off the falls.
The patient had sustained moderate injuries and was in severe pain.
He was treated on scene by an Advanced life support paramedic.
The Pietermaritzburg SAPS Search and Rescue Unit set up a rope rescue system with specialized stretcher to carry the boy to a safe place.
Once stabilized he was transported to hospital for further treatment.
All necessary authorities were on scene.
