At 05H50 Friday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the R55 near Laudium in Centurion, Pretoria.

Reports from the scene indicate that a a motorist lost control ploughing into a group of cyclists.

Paramedics assessed the scene and found that one person sustained fatal injuries and was declared deceased on the scene.

Four other patients sustained moderate injuries and were treated on scene and once stabilised were transported by various ambulance services to hospital for further treatment.
