1. A heat wave with persistently high temperatures is expected in places over Gauteng, Limpopo and Mpumalanga until Sunday, but over the eastern parts of the Northern Cape, Free State and North West until Monday.

2. MPUMALANGA:

Morning fog along the escarpment, otherwise fine and warm but hot in the Lowveld.

3. LIMPOPO:

Fine and hot but very hot in the Limpopo Valley and south-western Bushveld.

4. NORTH-WEST PROVINCE:

Hot in the east, otherwise fine and very hot, but partly cloudy in the west, spreading to the central parts in the afternoon. Isolated thunderstorms expected in the extreme west.

5. FREE STATE:

Cloudy with fog patches in the east at first, otherwise fine and hot, but very hot in the west where it will be partly cloudy, spreading to the central parts in the afternoon. Isolated thunderstorms expected in the west.

6. NORTHERN CAPE:

Hot in the extreme south, otherwise fine and very hot, becoming partly cloudy in the north-east with isolated thunderstorms in the extreme north-east.
The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly.

7. WESTERN CAPE:

Partly cloudy along the south coast, otherwise fine and warm to hot, but cool in the south-west.
The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-easterly to easterly.

8. WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE:

Partly cloudy and warm, but cloudy and cool along the coast and adjacent interior, with rain along the coast and adjacent interior east of Port Elizabeth.
The wind along the coast will be Light and variable, becoming light to moderate easterly by mid-morning, but fresh to strong from late morning.

9. EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE:

Cloudy and cool with light rain along and south of the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy but warm in the north.
The wind along the coast will be light and variable south of Kei Mouth at first, otherwise light to moderate easterly, becoming fresh to strong south of Kei Mouth from late morning.

10. KWAZULU-NATAL:

Morning fog over the interior and cloudy with isolated showers and rain except in the north-west. It will be warm but cool in the south. It will become partly cloudy in the west.
The wind along the coast will be Moderate south to south-easterly, becoming east to north-easterly from the south towards afternoon, spreading northwards.
