Gauteng: At 15H09 Saturday afternoon Netcare 911 responded to a collision on Bezuidenhout Avenue in Bezuidenhout Valley Johannesburg.
Reports indicate that a tree had fallen over during a storm crushing a taxi
in the process.When medics arrived on scene they found the driver of the mini-bus taxi having sustained serious injuries heavily entrapped in the front cab.
On scene was the City of Johannesburg EMS, fire and Urban Search and Rescue.
With assistance the Netcare 911 specialised rescue team used hydraulic tools to free the man from the wreckage while Emergency Care Practitioners treated the patient.
Once stabilised the patient was transported by ambulance to hospital for further care.
