THE REGIONAL WEATHER FORECAST FOR TOMORROW: 2021-12-13
ISSUED AT 16:00 SAST BY THE SOUTH AFRICAN WEATHER SERVICE.

SEVERE WEATHER ALERTS:

IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS:
1. Yellow Level 4 for severe thunderstorms resulting in heavy downpours, possible hail, strong damaging winds and excessive lightning over the central and eastern parts of Eastern Cape.
2. Yellow level 4 warning for severe thunderstorms resulting in heavy
downpours leading to flooding, hail and damaging winds expected over central and northern areas of Mpumalanga and the south eastern parts of Limpopo

FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:
1. Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over central northern parts of Northern Cape.

1. GAUTENG:
Cloudy and cool with scattered showers and thundershowers.
The expected UVB sunburn index: Low

2. MPUMALANGA:
Mostly cloudy and cool to warm with scattered showers and thundershowers.

3. LIMPOPO:
Cloudy and warm with scattered showers and thundershowers but isolated in the north.

4. NORTH-WEST PROVINCE:
Cloudy and warm with scattered showers and thundershowers but isolated in the west where it will be partly cloudy.

5. FREE STATE:
Cloudy and cool to warm with scattered showers and thundershowers but isolated in the north-western part where it will be partly cloudy.

6. NORTHERN CAPE:
Cool with morning and evening fog patches along the coast, otherwise
fine and warm to hot, becoming partly cloudy in the east with isolated thundershowers.
The wind along the coast will be light and variable, becoming moderate to fresh south to south-westerly from late morning.

7. WESTERN CAPE:
Cloudy and cool to warm, becoming partly cloudy in the west and in the
north-west by the afternoon, with isolated to scattered showers and
thundershowers, but widespread showers and thundershowers in the south.
The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly.

The expected UVB sunburn index: Very High

8. WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE:
Cool in places along the coast, otherwise cloudy and warm with scattered showers and thundershowers.
The wind along the coast will be moderate south-easterly, becoming
south-westerly by afternoon.

9. EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE:
Partly cloudy and warm, becoming cloudy with scattered showers and
thundershowers.
The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-easterly,
becoming south-westerly by evening.

10. KWAZULU-NATAL:
Mostly cloudy and warm but hot in the north-east, with scattered
showers and thundershowers.
The wind along the coast will be moderate north-easterly becoming fresh in places in the afternoon. It will become moderate to fresh south-westerly south of Durban in the evening.
