Media Invitation: Police Minister visits KwaZulu-Natal province to inspect Safer Festive Season operations.
Police Minister, General Bheki Cele, MP will visit Durban as part of the Safer Festive Season
Inspection Tour on Thursday, 23 December 2021.The visit forms part of efforts by the South African Police Service, to channel resources to areas where they are most needed, to ensure police deal decisively with crime during the holiday season.
Under the theme, “Extending our reach through blue light visibility” Minister Bheki Cele together with the SAPS management teams from both national and the provincial components will be led by the Provincial Commissioner of KwaZulu-Natal, Lieutenant General NS Mkhwanazi, to assess the effectiveness of the Safer Festive Season plans put in place and to ensure that residents as well as holidaymakers are and feel safe, during the holiday season.
