At approximately 08:28am Netcare 911 responded to an accident on Cedar Road in Fourways, Gauteng.

On arrival Netcare 911 and other emergency medical services found seven vehicles spread across both lanes.

Upon further assessment paramedics found that multiple people were injured and three had sustained fatal injuries, sadly nothing could be done for three and they were declared dead on scene.

Roughly 20 other patients sustained minor to moderate injuries they were assessed on scene before being transported to various hospitals for further medical care.

The exact details were not yet known to paramedics but local authorities were on scene to investigate further.
