A very cold start over most of the interior of South Africa this morning.

The following stations measured minimum temperature below -5:

-9.7 – Sutherland (NC)
-6.9 – Shaleburn (KZN)
-6.3 – Fauresmith (FS)
-6.1 – Aliwal North Plaatkop (EC)
-5.3 – Elliot (EC) & Twee Rivieren (NC)

What tempreture did you measure?

Frost was visible on the satellite image this morning (14 June 2019) as well as morning fog patches over the north-eastern parts of the country. The frost melted quickly after sunrise and the fog patches much later.
