CASE UPDATE: Recent media reports about alleged serial fraudster, Swereen Govender, relate to over R10 million in cases dating back…
CASE UPDATE:
Recent media reports about alleged serial fraudster, Swereen Govender, relate to over R10 million in cases dating back to 2019.
Information received indicates that Govender has allegedly committed
multiple other instances of fraud involving vast sums of money dating back a number of years, including that of a retired couple who have lost all their money.Case reference:
Wierdabrug SAPS CAS 411/7/2016.
Other victims include a pastor who allegedly lost lost R1.5 million, a lady and her daughter who also allegedly lost R1.5 million, a lady who allegedly lost R200 000.00, and the elderly couple who allegedly lost R170 000.00.
The amount of monies allegedly defrauded by Govender is far in excess of the amount of R10 million reported in the media.
IRS will be making representations to the authorities that all cases be consolidated against Govender.
