CASE UPDATE

IRS can advise that Lynda Bedier was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment for fraud in the Germiston Regional court yesterday, 31 July 2018.

IRS was appointed to investigate and locate Bedier after she had defrauded her employer for an amount of approximately R3 million and went on the run.

IRS and SAPS arrested the suspect in a joint operation after following up on information.

The SAPS members that assisted IRS in the arrest which were commended for their service were Bradley Goldblatt and Johnny Spartacus.

The IRS Investigator who facilitated the entire investigation was Specialist Senior Investigator Andre van Wyk. We commend him for his work.
