Cop killer sentenced to life imprisonment

Northern Cape Major General Kholekile Galawe has applauded the #Hawks Serious Organised Crime Investigating Unit for the life sentence imposed on Mzwandile Majosi (30), accused of stabbing and killing Constable Lentswe Edward Magorosi (35), formerly stationed at Roodepan police station.

Constable Magorosi’s lifeless body was found dumped in the field at Lerato Park, Kimberley during the early hours of 08 January 2017. He had suffered multiple stab wounds, he subsequently passed away on 09 of January 2017.

Following investigations by the Hawks’ Serious Organised Investigating Unit, Majosi, was later traced and arrested.

The Kimberley High Court found Majosi guilty on 03 September 2018, and was sentenced to life imprisonment for murder, a further 15 year’s imprisonment for robbery and one year imprisonment for possession of drugs. The sentences will run concurrently. #PoliceKillings #Sentencing
