Eastern Cape: Provincial General Council of the Eastern Cape engaged through informative sessions at the SAPS Provincial Head Office #PartnershipPolicing
ZWELITSHA – A two-day long Provincial General Council of the Eastern Cape came to an end today, 25th May 2019 in what the delegates described as one of the most successful and informative sessions the parties have had in the financial year.
This ground-breaking and phenomenal General Council convened from the 24th to 25th May 2019 at the SAPS Provincial Head Office in the Eastern Cape was opened by the Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Liziwe Ntshinga who welcomed all delegates in what was seen as a positive and progressive commitment in the history of Community Policing in the Province. Among the commitments Lieutenant General Ntshinga made was that CPFs must never despair as available resources would be shared with their leadership as co-partners in the fight against crime.
Delegates who attended the General Council were unanimous that some positive advances towards achieving the strategic objectives of the partnership are close to realization. The following resolutions were made:
The General Council is constituted by the Provincial Board Executive and all the CPF Cluster Chairpersons from the 21 clusters in the Eastern Cape and convenes on a quarterly basis.
