Loadshedding has stopped this evening but the risk remains high from 05h00 tomorrow morning
Tuesday, 31 July 2018: Eskom terminated Stage 1 rotational load shedding at 20:00 on 31 July 2018. It is important to note that the restoration of power may take longer in some areas. If customers experience outages for longer periods than announced, please contact your supplier (Eskom or the Municipality) as this may be a localised power outage.
The risk of rotational loadshedding remains high for tomorrow from 05h00, as a result of the industrial action and the impact on Eskom’s operations. Loadshedding will only be implemented if absolutely necessary.
Customers are advised to keep checking their load shedding schedules on the Eskom and their municipal website, and plan on the assumption that load shedding will take place.
For Eskom customers, these schedules are available on the Eskom website (http://bit.ly/2y8Esf5). Eskom customers can also contact our customer contact centre at 0860 037 566.
We encourage residents and businesses to please use electricity sparingly to ease the demand of electricity. Please switch off geysers during the day especially during peak periods (05:00 to 10:00 and 17:00 to 21:00) as well as all non-essential lighting and electricity appliances to assist in reducing demand.
ENDS
Load shedding status We are currently not Load Shedding due to high demand or urgent maintenance being performed at certain power stations. To determine the time/s that you will be affected, please view the Schedule for your area.
