Factors associated with an increased risk of #breastcancer include the following.
• Being female. Women are much more likely than men to develop breast cancer.
• Usually with increasing age but the incidence is increasing in younger females.
• A personal or family history of breast conditions including breast cancer.
• Radiation exposure.
• Obesity.
• Starting your period at a younger age.
• Menopause starting at an older age.
• Having never been pregnant.
• Postmenopausal hormone therapy.
• Drinking alcohol and smoking.
Having one or even several breast cancer #risk #factors doesn't necessarily mean you will develop breast cancer, you are however encouraged to do a breast cancer screening – #mammogram and #sonar – on a regular basis.
