Food Poisoning: Every year, thousands of people in S.A get food poisoning. It is usually the result of consuming food that has not been cooked thoroughly, or has been improperly stored or cared for. Food poisoning can be caused by many forms of bacteria, including salmonella (typically found in dairy products, eggs, poultry, red meat and seafood) and E. coli (most commonly found in improperly cooked ground meats).
