1. A heatwave with persistently high temperatures is expected over the Free State, North-West and in the north and north-eastern parts of the Northern Cape until Thursday, as well over Gauteng, and western parts of Mpumalanga and Limpopo until at least Wednesday.

Fine at first, otherwise partly cloudy and hot.

2. MPUMALANGA:

Cloudy along the escarpment with early morning fog patches and
drizzle, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated thunderstorms from afternoon except in the south-west.

3. LIMPOPO:

Cloudy along the escarpment in the morning with early morning fog patches and drizzle, otherwise partly cloudy and hot to very hot with isolated thunderstorms from the afternoon.

4. NORTH-WEST PROVINCE:

Fine and hot but very hot in places, becoming partly cloudy in the central en eastern parts with isolated thundershowers in the
extreme north-eastern parts.

5. FREE STATE:

Morning fog patches in the north-east, otherwise fine and hot but very hot in places in the west becoming partly cloudy with
isolated thundershowers in the extreme north-eastern in the
afternoon.

6. NORTHERN CAPE:

Cloudy with fog patches along the coast at first, otherwise fine and warm, but hot in places over the central interior.
The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to
south-westerly.

7. WESTERN CAPE:

Partly cloudy at first, otherwise fine and cool to warm but hot in places over the interior.
The wind along the coast will be light to moderate southerly to
south-westerly.

8. WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE:

Cloudy with light rain in places along the coastal areas, otherwise
fine and warm to hot but very hot in places over the interior.
The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh westerly becoming southerly in the afternoon but light easterly west of St Francis in the evening.

9. EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE:

Cloudy and warm to hot south of the escarpment with light rain in
the east, otherwise partly cloudy with isolated thunderstorms in the north-east. It will be fine and very hot in the north west.
The wind along the coast will be light to moderate north-easterly
along the wild coast in the morning, otherwise moderate to fresh
south-westerly.

10. KWAZULU-NATAL:

Partly cloudy and warm to hot, but but very hot in the extreme west.
It will become cloudy in the afternoon with isolated thundershowers.
The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-easterly.
