Gauteng: At 06H58 Monday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of a plane crash near the Springs Airport on the corner of Moepel and Olympia in Springs.

When medics arrived on scene they found a single engine light aircraft with substantial damage resting on the center median.

The patients, both males believed to be on a training flight had sustained moderate injuries and were treated on scene before being transported by ambulance to hospital for further treatment.

Circumstances leading up to the incident with be investigated by the relevant authorities.
