Gauteng: At 08H51 Wednesday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on Amy Street in Moreletta Park Pretoria.

Reports from the scene indicate that an adult male had been struck down by a truck.

Medics assessed the patient, an adult male and found that he had sustained serious traumatic injuries and required the care of an Emergency Care Practitioner to stabilise him.

Due to the nature of his injuries a Netcare 911 helicopter ambulance was activated to airlift the patient to hospital for further treatment.
