Gauteng: At 09H41 Friday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on Italy Avenue in Randburg.

Reports from the scene indicate that the driver of a mini-bus taxi lost control slamming into a tree.

Medics assessed the scene and found that a 56-year-old female front passenger had sustained serious injuries and required Advanced Life Support intervention to stabilise her.

Once treated and stabilised the patient was transported by ambulance to hospital for further treatment.

All necessary authorities were on scene.
