Gauteng: At 10H26 Wednesday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of a chemical leak at a well know building on Artillery Road Johannesburg.

Reports from the scene indicate that a generator on the 15th floor leaked a large volume of diesel fuel.

Emergency services had evacuated the building, however it was alleged that a small number of occupants were still on the 17th floor who were unable leave due to the intoxicating fumes.

Three people were assessed by Paramedics on scene who complained of difficulty in breathing to to chemical inhalation.

All three patients were found to be in a stable contion and once treated were transported by Netcare 911 ambulance to hospital for further assessment.

The Fire and Rescue Services are on scene and are currently dealing with the incident.
