Gauteng: At 13H57 Thursday afternoon Netcare 911 responded to reports of a drowning in the Vaal River in Vanderbijlpark.
Reports from the scene indicate that a male in his mid thirties got into difficulty while swimming in the Vaal River.
Paramedics fervently tried to save the man's life in an intense resuscitation but the man was sadly declared deceased on the scene.
