Gauteng: At 20H40 Saturday night Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the N14 Between the R500 and Brandvlei in Randfontien.

Reports from the scene indicate that three vehicles were involved in a collision.

Medics assessed the scene and found that three patients had sustained moderate to serious injuries.

The Netcare 911 Rescue Technician with the Fire and Rescue Services had to use the Jaws of Life to free the seriously injured patient from the wreckage.

The patients were treated on scene by Advanced Life support paramedics and once stabilised were transported by ambulance to hospital for further treatment.

All necessary authorities were on scene.
