Gauteng: At 22H20 Saturday night Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the corners of the N12 and Edenvale Road on Meadowbrook Germiston.

Reports from the scene indicate that five vehicles were involved in a collision resulting in two of people being trapped in their vehicles.

The Fire and Rescue Services used hydraulic tools to free the patients from the wreckage.

Once treated and stabilised all the patients were transported by various ambulance services to hospital for further treatment.

Circumstances leading up to the collision will be investigated by the relevant authorities.
