KwaZulu-Natal: At 07H44 Thursday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of pedestrian vehicle collision on the M4 South bound Leo Boyd Highway in Genazano.

Reports from the scene indicate that a 20-year-old male was struck down by a light motor vehicle while running across the highway.

The patient was found to have sustained moderate injuries and was treated and stabilised on before being transported by Netcare 911 ambulance to hospital for further treatment.

The occupants of the car did not sustain any injuries.

All necessary authorities were on scene.
