KwaZulu-Natal: At 08H30 Monday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of a serious pedestrian vehicle collision on the P197-3 in Umgababa on the KZN South Coast.

Reports from the scene indicate that a 7-year-old male patient was struck down by a mini-bus taxi.

The patient sustained serious injuries and required the Specialised treatment of an Emergency Care Practitioner.

Once stabilized the patient was transported to hospital for further treatment.

All necessary authorities were on scene to investigate.
