Kwazulu Natal: At 09H58 Saturday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the R102 Verulam intersection.
Upon arrival another private ambulance service was already in attendance treating some of the injured.
Reports from the scene indicate that a mini-bus taxi and a heavy motor vehicle were involved in a collision.
Multiple people sustained injuries ranging from moderate to critical in the collision and the Ethekwini Fire and Rescue Services had to use the “Jaws of Life” to one of the occupants that was trapped in the wreckage.
Netcare 911 with Crises Medical transported one male patient in a critical condition to hospital for further treatment.
Metro Police as well as the SAPS were on scene to investigate.
